James Walter “Buddy” Bearden, 80, of Russellville, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2020.
He was born April 8, 1940 in Jefferson County, to Curtis Harrison “Harry” and Opal Kelly Bearden.
He graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1957.
He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He was a kind, loving husband to Carole and the best daddy in the world in the eyes of his three girls.
He retired in 2002 from Entergy at the White Bluff Power Plant and later moved to Russellville in 2006 with his loving wife Carole. Buddy fox hunted most of his life and loved listening to those hounds. But what he enjoyed more was building and making things for Carole, the girls, and the grandkids.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Anna Marie Warren and Louise Bearden.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Gatlin Bearden, whom he married on April 12th in 1963; daughters, Lisa Rush (Tim) of Russellville, Gina Hinton (Bobby) of Bella Vista, Jamie Schaefer (George) of Benton; a brother, Curtis “Sonny” Bearden of Pine Bluff; sisters, Norma Rhodes of Pine Bluff, Donna West of Pine Bluff and five grandchildren: Emily Sims, Matthew Rush, Hannah Sims, Kacey and Ryan Schaefer.
A graveside service by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services will be Friday, May 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Ramick Cemetery. Pastor Bradley Lattin of Family Church Bryant will officiate.
