An incentive agreement between the Economic Development Corp. of Jefferson County and Ready One Industries, Inc., has been extended.

In 2020 Ready One Industries received $486,000 from the Economic Development Corp., to offset some of the costs of their new manufacturing project located at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

Allison Thompson, President and CEO of the Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County said the company asked for a two-year extension on the agreement which was granted.

She said like a lot of companies, Ready One was negatively affected by the pandemic and asked for additional time to pay their contractor.

Thompson said the company makes military uniforms and at the height of the pandemic, switched and made masks.

Many of those hired were people with disabilities.

The Economic Development Corp. of Jefferson County was created to administer money collected from a three-eights cent sales tax approved by voters in 2011 for economic development. The tax came of the books in 2018.
