In-person court appearances will resume Monday, June 1 for the Eleven-West Judicial District, which includes Jefferson and Lincoln Counties.

According to a press release from Circuit Judge Rob Wyatt, the administrative judge for the District, everyone entering the courthouse will be required to wear a face mask, and sheriff’s department personnel will screen each defendant for COVID-19 symptoms and will verify that the defendant is on the docket.

Only the defendant will be allowed in the courthouse. Children and family members of a defendant will not be allowed. Judge Wyatt also said court will start on time and attorneys, court personnel and defendants are reminded to arrive early to avoid a bottleneck in the screening location.

All in-jail and Arkansas Department of Correction cases will continue to be held by Zoom.

If you have questions about your case, do not call the judge’s offices. Call your attorney or your bondsman.
