Jefferson Regional on Tuesday announced that water pressure is slowly improving, and the hospital said they can start accepting admissions again and doing surgeries Wednesday.

Jefferson Regional has had water pressure problems and had sent patients who were initially examined in the Emergency Room and needed further treatment to other facilities.

On Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman told Deltapex News that while doctor’s offices and clinics were open, portable toilet facilities were placed outside buildings due to the lack of water pressure for toilet facilities.

Full capacity for water pressure is 60 psi for the hospital.  It had gotten as low as single digits and has been steadily rising last few days.  As of Tuesday afternoon the pressure had hit 42 psi.
