Hope Empowerment Inc. to host after-school prgram

Hope Empowerment Incorporated provides after-school programs and outreach activities throughout the Pine Bluff community and is now accepting registration for the upcoming school year. Their after-school program is hosted at their main headquarters 421 W. 6th Avenue located in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The program begins Monday,  August 29th, and will continue throughout the year from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday-Thursdays.

The program offers a homework center, literacy and math-focused activities, and class on all subjects specific to each learner.

Berinda Eugene owner and co-director of Hope Empowerment Inc. spoke with Deltaplex news about their programs and she highlighted how they are impacting the youth academically.

She went on to say that they also incorporate activities and practices that help with brain development in the youth.

Eugene also mentioned that they partner with parents for the benefit of the youth by getting them engaged in their child’s academics and development.

For high school and college students, Hope Empowerment Inc. offers what they call, ‘On-job training’ which allows the student to work alongside their certified teachers to gain experience and get paid.

Aaron Eugene, co-director of Hope Empowerment Inc. was also present during the interview and he highlighted trips that they offer to the youth and local college students.
