After hosting her Lights On Festival last month in California, H.E.R. has been forced to postpone the New York City version to next year due to the pandemic. Maxwell, SWV and Skip Marley were among the artists scheduled to perform at the two-day event, on October 21-22, at Barclays Center.

“After a sold out weekend in the Bay Area, we were really excited to bring the Lights On Festival to Brooklyn this month, but due to the ever evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s become harder and harder for us to put together the type of festival experience that you deserve,” the Oscar and Grammy winner wrote on Instagram. “So we are officially postponing this year’s festival to 2022…We can’t wait to see all of you in 2022.”

All tickets purchased will be refunded.

H.E.R. hosted the West Coast Lights On Festival on September 18 and 19 in Concord, California featuring more than 25 artists, including Erykah Badu, Ty Dolla $ign, Keyshia Cole, Bryson Tiller and Ari Lennox.

Now she is focusing on her eight-city “Back of My Mind” tour kicking off October 10 in Franklin, TN, and wrapping up October 28 in Detroit. Tone Stith will be her opening act. This will be the “Come Through” singer’s third headlining tour, following the “Lights on Tour” in 2017, and the “I Used to Know Her Tour” in 2018.

Tickets for all the shows are now available on Ticketmaster.com.
