Gridiron Hogs Named To Preseason All-SEC Teams

Six Hogs land on PFF Preseason All-SEC Team | Arkansas Razorbacks

Six players on the current Arkansas Razorbacks football roster have been selected for the PFF Preseason All-SEC Teams for the upcoming 2021 season.

Treylon Burks and Jalen Catalon were chosen as first-team members, Grant Morgan is a second team selection, offensive linemen Ricky Stromberg and Ty Clary are third team selections, while Myron Cunningham garners honorable mention honors at left tackle.

Burks posted a team leading 51 catches, 820 yards and seven touchdowns in just nine games in 2020. He earned second-team All-SEC honors averaging 91.1 yards per game, ranking him third in the SEC. He continues to be a deep threat for the Hogs, grabbing 17 passes of 20 yards or more over his first two seasons. Burks was also named a second-team preseason All-American by PFF this week.

Jalen Catalon was also named an honorable mention preseason All-American by PFF as well as a preseason All-SEC first team member. Catalon racked up 99 tackles last year, finishing third on the team in total tackles with 8 pass break-ups. He was an Associated Press first-team All-SEC selection, a third-team All-American by Phil Steele and a Freshman All-American by the FWAA and The Athletic. Catalon was also a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award in 2020.

LB Grant Morgan is a second-team preseason All-SEC selection after leading the nation with 12.3 tackles per game and Razorbacks in total tackles with 111. Morgan was named a Walter Camp second team All-American last season by the foundation and the American Football Coaches Association. He was also the first Arkansas player to be a Burlsworth Trophy finalist.

Stromberg, a third team selection, was solid for Arkansas a year ago, starting eight games at center. He played 628 offensive snaps totaling a run blocking grade of 69.7 for the season, the second highest on the Hogs offensive line.

Fayetteville native and third team member Ty Clary played the final eight games at right guard and center for the Hogs last season. He posted a team high 74.7 run blocking average with 461 offensive plays.

Myron Cunningham returns for the 2021 season as the Hogs most seasoned offensive player, logging 705 offensive plays and starting all 10 games a season ago. He graded over 80% four times last year allowing only two sacks on the season.
