Multiple agencies responded on Friday afternoon to a possible hostage situation at Crossover and Gordon Hollow roads in Gravette, but instead found the four bodies on a nearby property.
Police found the bodies of Inga, Casey, Levi, and Justin Barnes on the property. Justin has been named as the gunman in the shooting. Police say they believe Justin called the police to report the shootings.
Captain Chris Kelley with the Gravette Police Department said that the suspect was dead and all four died of gunshot wounds. He said the four dead were related and the father killed his two sons and wife. Investigators found a used gun on the property.
According to a police report, one family member was not at the scene during the shootings.
