Grant county will host a COVID-19 testing event on July 23 from 3-7 p.m. at the Sheridan Parks and Recreation Center located at 1511 South Rose Street according to a press release from the Arkansas Department of Health.

Anyone can be tested regardless of whether they have symptoms or not. This testing event is also open to all Arkansan’s, and not just residents of Grant County.

There is no out of pocket cost for the tests, but insurance may be billed for any patients who have it. Insurance is not required, but participants are advised to bring their insurance cards and drivers license if applicable.

If you test positive for COVID-19 you will receive a call from a nurse within 3-5 days. If you are negative, you will receive a letter in the mail at the address you provide.

Testing is also available at local health units across Arkansas. Patients should ensure a unit is open and then call ahead for an appointment. More information can be found at https://www.healthy.arkansas.gove/health-units
