An emergency meeting of the Grant County Quorum Court on Dec. 30 modified money the county received from the American Rescue Plan Act.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, the following redistributions were made:
Treasurer’s Office, $8,680; Courthouse Operations, $93,354.98; County Museum, $49,859.13; County General Fund, $186,470.10; County Annex, $1,058,125.87 (for equipment, building materials, repairs, machinery, rentals and improvements).
The newspaper said the ARPA funds were part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and were designed to help local governments address the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
