A group of volunteers in Sheridan is making sure kids are getting fed during the summer months all across Grant County. The Grant County Ministerial Alliance started a feeding program in June and will continue delivering boxes of food across the county till August 15th.
Judy Green from the GCMA joined Rick Walker on Sunrise Deltaplex to talk about the program. Green was asked about how the alliance got started.
The federal government just announced they would be extending summer programs for kids through the summer, but Green says this does not cover what her group is doing.
More volunteers are needed and will be welcomed.
