Grant County Judge Randy Pruitt says discrepancies found in local census numbers

Winter weather struck the Deltaplex area late last week causing local government entities to have to put in some extra work to ensure things could run as smooth as possible.

Grant County Judge Randy Pruitt recently spoke with Deltaplex News to discuss how his county weathered the storm.

Pruitt said that a lot of addresses have been given out across the county due to development taking place.

Census numbers were recently returned to each county, and Pruitt said he isn’t sure how accurate the numbers are for Grant County considering the amount of growth taking place.

Pruitt said that the county has conducted a self-survey since the numbers returned and have found discrepancies in the numbers returned by the census bureau.

He also touched on the relocation of the county solid waste and recycling center.
