At a recent meeting of the Grant County Quorum Court, County Judge Randy Pruitt announced that the opening of the county’s annex building will now take place in September.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, the parking lot will not be ready by the previously announced date in August.
At the same meeting, he announced that the office building for the solid waste department has been relocated to the new facility on Gatzke Drive in Sheridan and the scales will be operational in the near future.
That new facility will be open soon and when it is, the previous facility on Rose Street will have to be decommissioned, Pruitt said. The property is in the Sheridan City limits and Pruitt said he would talk to the Sheridan Mayor about shutting it down.
