Golf Remains In Fourth Place After Second Round Of SWAC Championship

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men’s golf team remains in fourth place after the second round of 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship at Oak Wing Golf Course.

The Golden Lions shot 311 on day two, nearly the same score as Monday’s opening round total of 310 and sit at 621 after 36 holes. UAPB trails defending champion Prairie View A&M (595), Alabama State (608), and Texas Southern (619).

Grayson Martin shot a team best three-over 75 on Tuesday and is tied for seventh with a score of 153. Tristan Maharaj and Niklas Frimodig each posted scored of 80 in round two and are tied for 11th at 155. Dustin Maenaga made a 10-shot improvement over day one in shooting four-over 76 and has a two-day total of 162. Joshua McCray’s 165 completed the scoring for the Golden Lions.

The final round of the tournament begins Wednesday at 8 a.m.
