SOFTBALL TRIES TO DODGE RAIN PRIOR TO SWAC TOURNAMENT Weather has been a factor during the UAPB Softball season. With the conference tournament less than a week away, the Lady Lions are still trying to complete the regular season.

Due to rain, UAPB has one makeup game each against Southern, Grambling, and Texas Southern. Currently, the Lady Lions are scheduled to play Southern Sunday at 2 p.m. at
the Torii Hunter Softball Complex, weather permitting, with the other games TBD.

The 2019 SWAC Softball Tournament begins Wednesday in Montgomery, Ala. at Alabama State.

BASEBALL TO PLAY FINAL SWAC WEEKEND AT TEXAS SOUTHERN The UAPB Baseball team will play its final SWAC series at Texas Southern this weekend.

The Golden Lions won one of three games in the teams’ earlier meetings this season, winning 14-2 in seven innings in game two of the series in the home opener at the renovated Torii Hunter Baseball Complex at Bill Jones Field in late March.

UAPB will also play Tuesday at Memphis that had been rescheduled due to rain before concluding the regular season hosting North Alabama in a three-game series next weekend.
