On Thursday, ground was officially broken for the Go Cart track and Family Fun Park on the site of the former Admiral Benbow Inn on East Harding Avenue.
That was the first of three ground breaking events held by Go Forward Pine Bluff, the City of Pine Bluff and Pine Bluff Urban Renewal.
The others were a housing project and the Sixth Avenue project.
Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show Friday and talked about each of the projects, beginning with the Fun Park.
Watley went on to say construction could start at any time.
Although it is currently being referred to as the Family Fun Park, Watley said Go Forward previously announced a contest to come up with an official name and those entries are currently being looked at.
Asked if Go Forward would own the property, Watley said this.
