On Tuesday, the Urban Renewal Board voted to accept a contract with Amusement Products of Chattanooga, Tenn. To design and build the go-cart track on the site of the former Admiral Benbow Inn on East Harding Avenue.

According to a press release, the project was initiated by Go Forward Pine Bluff in 2017 after public input showed a desire for more family entertainment facilities in the city.

Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff said the contract signing for the project is a big step forward.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Watley was asked if everything will be done at once or if will it be done in phases, with the track first.

Morning show host Greg Horne pointed out that a shopping center across from the site of the track recently lost a grocery store and is partially empty and the addition of the facility will bring something nice to the area.
