On August 14, 2020 Pine Bluff Police Officers were dispatched to 4316 Burnett around 11:50p.m. in reference to a someone being shot. Once officers arrived on scene, they found 51 year old Steven Carter, of Pine Bluff, inside the residence. Carter sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
There is no suspect information at this time and the motive of the shooting is unknown.
This is the city’s 18th homicide in 2020 and 3rd this week.
