You are invited to attend free Personal Financial Development Classes on Tuesdays at 7:00pm.

The classes take place at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, located at 2712 South Bay Street in Pine Bluff, AR (71603).

“Financial education and planning fosters financial stability for individuals, families, and entire communities,” says Anthony Armstrong.  “The more people know about credit and banking services, the more likely they are to increase savings, buy homes, and improve their financial health and well being. The development of people, entrepreneurs and small business is still necessary for communities and cities. The church working together and reaching out to community is a better community overall.”

Topics of the classes includes:

How to manage money by preparing a personal spending plan and identifying ways to decrease spending and increase income.

Available banking services and how to build a positive relationship with a financial institution.

How credit works, types of credit that is available, and if they are ready to apply for credit.

How to protect their rights as consumers and how to be financially prepared if a disaster strikes.

How to use a credit card responsibly and what to do when a credit card is lost or stolen.

The characteristics of consumer installment loans and general information on installment loans, including car loans and student loans.

The home buying process and the difference between renting versus owning and financially protecting their home.
