Tink Hence left his start on Wednesday after just one and a third innings, seeming to lose his control. John Denton of MLB.com, who covers St. Louis and their farm system said he struck out one, gave up one hit and a walk before departing. This is the third time this season that Hence has had the injury bug bite him. The game on Wednesday was scheduled to be his final regular season start of the season as Springfield heads into post season. Hence would have possibly started the Cardinals game in Little Rock on Tuesday, as the division series begins against the Arkansas Travelers. Daniel Guerrero from the St. Louis Post Dispatch said Hence walked the final batter he faced and threw four of his final six pitches in the dirt hinting at some sort of arm injury.
