Former University of Arkansas at Monticello right-handed pitcher Grant Black had his Independent League contract bought by the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. Black pitched as a member of the Weevils back in 2016 and 2017.
Black joins the Cardinals after pitching a pair of seasons in the Frontier League and the Atlantic League.
