Local businesswoman and former Pine Bluff Mayor, Debe Hollingsworth, has accepted the position of Executive Director of “The Foundation,” at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Hollingsworth, who owned Hoover Oil and spent four years as mayor, has come out of retirement for the position. She will be in charge of fundraising for future renovation and expansion of the JRMC campus, as well as establishing an avenue for charitable giving to benefit the hospital.

Hollingsworth says this is a project she believes in strongly. “It would have to be important for me to come out of retirement,” she said, “and I’m very passionate about this project. JRMC already has a strong foothold in our community, and this is an investment in the future. It tells the public we want to have the best facility for our patients, now and in the future.”

She will begin work immediately and donations are currently being accepted. For more information, call Hollingsworth at (870) 541-7183.
