Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football star and New Orleans Saints’ left tackle Terron Armstead was named to the 2010’s All-Decade Team by Pro Football Focus.
Armstead is ranked 82nd on the list and has been a mainstay in the starting unit since being a third-round pick by the Saints in the 2013 NFL Draft (75th overall), becoming a starter later during his rookie season. During Armstead’s time as a Saint, the team has ranked in the NFL’s Top 10 in total offense every season.
This past season, Armstead was selected to his second straight Pro Bowl in helping the New Orleans to a 13-3 record and its third consecutive NFC South Division title.
A two-time team captain, Armstead has also been a leader off the field. In 2019, Armstead was selected as the Saints’ Walter Payton Man of the Year for his work in the community in the New Orleans area as well as in his hometown of Cahokia, Ill. Armstead was also the team’s 2019 nominee for the NFL’s Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
