A Fordyce man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Cleveland County Tuesday morning.
According to a preliminary report, Ray Everett Moore, 74, was southbound on U.S. Highway 79 when the 2022 GMC Terrain he was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert. After impact, the vehicle rotated clockwise and came to rest facing northwest in the ditch.
Moore was transported to the UAMS Medical Center and died.
The accident was reported at 11:36 a.m. and the death was the 472nd so far this year on the state’s highways.
