On Tuesday, June 15th, on the Jefferson County Courthouse steps, Flora Cook-Bishop, who is currently Chief Deputy Circuit Clerk, announced that she will be running in the 2022 Democratic Primary Elections for Circuit Clerk of Jefferson County.
Bishop made the announcement among individuals of the community and also answered questions including what she thought her biggest challenge would be if she was elected. She responded that she believes she would not have any challenges with her present experience.
Bishop also spoke with Deltaplex and explained why she chose to run for this position,
Bishop is the first candidate to announce that she will be running for Circuit Clerk in Jefferson County with the elections set to take place in spring 2022.
