Five Razorbacks from the 2017-18 academic year earned Academic All-American status from the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), marking the fifth-straight year the Razorbacks have had five or more athletes earn the honor.
Athletes must meet the required 3.5 GPA to earn the honor. Mia Bargiacchi and Amanda Wellick earned the honor for the fourth-consecutive year, while Braie Speed made the list for the third-straight. Rising sophomores Sophia Carter and Sydney Laird earned the honor for their work during their freshman years.

The Razorbacks had eight gymnasts on the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, including Bargiacchi, Speed and Wellick. Carter and Laird were joined by Kailey Gillings in being named to the SEC’s First Year Academic Honor Roll.
