The annual Independence Day celebration, featuring fireworks over Lake Chicot and live music, will be held this year on Saturday, July 6, according to the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce.
Slik Nickel will perform at the Lakefront park at the amphitheater from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
There will be food trucks at the event and the Lake Village Baskin-Robbins will sponsor an ice cream eating contest during the band’s break. You can sign up for the ice cream eating contest at the amphitheater the day of the event.
Lipscomb Oil/Exxon is sponsoring the Slik Nickel performance.
