Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services was dispatched to the old Oak Park Elementary School Monday morning after a moderate sized fire broke out inside of the building.
Firefighters have extinguished the blaze and damage can be seen from the exterior of the building.
Officials tell Deltaplex News that the fire started in the cafeteria area and was beginning to spread before they arrived to extinguish the blaze.
There are no known injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
