Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Chief Shauwn Howell said Friday that the department’s monthly calls for service for August will be similar to what the department has experienced recently.
Howell appeared on the Oldies 101.3 morning show.
Howell went on to say there were no major industrial or similar types of fires in August, fires he described as more dangerous because of the possibility of a firefighter getting hurt or equipment failing at a critical time.
As he has for the past several months, Howell also pushed recruiting, saying that was one of the biggest issues the department is facing.
