During its regular meeting last week, the Pine Bluff City Council voted 5-3 to approve a resolution allowing Debra Allen to relocate the food pantry she currently operates on Ohio Street to the former Fire Station $4 on Commerce Road.

That station was replaced by a new station located at the Saracen Casino more than a year ago and is currently being used by the fire department for storage.

On Friday, Fire and Emergency Services Chief Shauwn Howell appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked his thoughts about the council’s action.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Howell what the department’s needs are and Howell answered this way.
