One of the biggest high school football games in Arkansas was cancelled after a fight led to rumors of gunfire at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

More than 38,000 people were in attendance for the rivalry game between Benton and Bryant when someone fired a Taser during a fight outside the stadium, Little Rock police reported.

Department spokesman officer Steve Moore said some people thought the Taser deployment sounded like a gunshot. It caused thousands of people and both football teams to flee for the exits, according to video from the stadium. Further details about the fight were not immediately available.

Little Rock police reported that there had not been gunfire, but the game was cancelled with Bryant leading Benton 28-14.

No injuries or arrests had been reported late Saturday.
