Entergy reported today on the current winter storms in Pine Bluff as light freezing rain or freezing drizzle that will impact the state through the earlier afternoon with ice accumulations in the central and eastern parts of Arkansas.

This type of weather can create problems for an electric system and make for hazardous driving conditions that may slow restoration. Entergy reported that they have nearly 900 additional restoration resources, including mutual assistance crews that arrived in the state yesterday ready to respond to outages quickly and safely as possible.

Employees of Entergy are closely monitoring forecasts for a second winter storm that’s expected to bring freezing rain, snow, and the potential for ice accumulations starting on Sunday, February 14th.
