Enrollment at the University of Arkansas at Monticello has increased 1.5 percent, compared to figures from fall 2021.
According to the Advanced Monticellonian newspaper, 2,717students wee enrolled for this fall semester, compared to 2,677 during the fall 20021 semester.
Graduate student enrollment reached a record high with a 10-percnet increase from 409 to 451 and transfer student enrollment went up 27 percent from 131 students to 166 students.
According to the newspaper, additional graduate student enrollment is expected with the new Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis on public health. That program is the only one of its kind in Arkansas and is accepting applicants. It will begin in January 2023.
