An elementary school in the England School District purchased a book vending machine this year to promote reading and good behavior.

Every employee in the school gets a gold coin every week. If they see a student helping others, being kind, showing courage, or other exhibiting other positive behavior, they are encouraged to give a coin to that student. Students will be able to use their coin to get a book from the vending machine.

The book vending machine cost around $4,000. The district able to use money from student fundraisers to purchase it. Books are being purchased with Title I funding money.
