A new industry is located in Pine Bluff and potentially will bring a number of jobs with it.
On Thursday, Allison Thompson, President, and CEO of the Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County was a guest on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and talked about the company, Arkansas River Rice.
Thompson said the buildings that have been purchased will provide office and warehouse space on both sides of the street as you go down Emmett Sanders Road, in addition to the existing rice mill located there.
She was asked how many jobs would be created and said this.
Thompson said that was not the only good news in terms of jobs.
