In an effort to build up its workforce, Emergency Ambulance Service Inc., (EASI) will be conducting a free training class beginning this month.
Josh Bishop, CEO of EASI was a recent guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and explained what the company would do.
There will be no charge to attend the course and Bishop was asked if they were doing the class just to help their own company and he responded this way.
He said the problem of EMTs burning out and leaving the profession was national, not just limited to Arkansas.
Bishop said the training would cover 6 weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and participants will also work for 24 hours in an ambulance and 24 clinical hours at Jefferson Regional Hospital Emergency Room to see both sides. He said participants will also be asked to commit to working for EASI for 18 months.
Interested persons can call EASI at 870-536-0734 or e-mail Tabitha Jones at [email protected] for more information
