Dr Ryan Watley joined us on Oldies 101.3 this morning to discuss Forward Fest.  Watley spoke of what all went in to the decision to move this years event to Hestand stadium from Regional Park because of the flooding.  We also heard more about Teach Pine Bluff, a program where GFPB will pay for Pine Bluff area teachers to get their masters degrees.

We learned that $4 million dollars of the new PB Aquatic center’s funding came from the GFPB tax revenue.  Watley also discussed economic development and touched on many other topics.

To finsh off his visit, Dr Watley drew the winning entry for our Father’s Day recliner giveaway.

Tune in Monday morning on the Voice of the Delta, Oldies 101.3 at 8:04 to catch Wil Jenkins visit with Maurice Taggert of the PB Urban Renewal Agency.
