Diamond Hogs Earn #1 Ranking in Collegiate Baseball
The Arkansas Razorbacks(7-0) are the top team in college baseball, according to Baseball America and D1Baseball’s weekly top-25 rankings. The Diamond Hogs are #1 for the first time in the 40 year history of Baseball America’s rankings, and in the seven year history of D1Baseball’s top-25.
Arkansas also earned the top spot from the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the USA Today Coaches Poll, as well as the consensus #1 ranking.
The Razorbacks are coming off a four game sweep of Southeast Missouri State at home, following Monday’s 4-1 victory over then ranked #10 TCU. The Hogs are undefeated on the season and will return to action Friday March 5th, when they will host the Murry State Racers in a three game weekend set with first pitch set for 3p.m. at Baum-Walker Stadium.
