Forty-two thousand reappraisal letters will be mailed out in July to property owners whose property value has increased since the last appraisal in 2018.
Bruce White Jr. a Deputy Appraiser at the Jefferson County Assessor Office joined Talk Back Live Morning Show with Host Floyd Donald and was asked to explain more about the appraisal process.
White was then asked about the details of those letters.
Donald asked White if there was an increase in taxes due to the appraisal and said White said this.
White added that those letters will be mailed out in the third and fourth weeks of July.
Donald went on to ask White about the process of reevaluating an appraisal if owners have concerns.
White confirmed that the Equalization Board that is appointed to represent residents that have appraisal concerns also holds meetings at the Jefferson County Quorum Courtroom.
