The Pines Mall in Pine Bluff is no longer up for auction. The foreclosure auction that was originally set for April 30th has been canceled after the mall paid off its debts to Carrington Electric. The mall had reportedly owed the company more than $20,000 for parking lot installation and repair work. The company filed suit against the mall in September. A judge awarded a foreclosure decree in February.

The mall opened in 1986 and is mostly empty today. A JC Penney’s at the mall is closing this year. Dillard’s at the mall is transitioning into the chain’s first and only chain clearance center in Arkansas.

Attempts to reach the mall’s owners for comments have not yet been successful.
