David Ellefson is reuniting with several other former Megadeth band members to launch the Mega Years tour.

The outing, which includes four Western dates beginning October 12 in San Diego, will see Ellefson’s band Kings of Thrash, which features ex-Megadeth guitarist Jeff Young, play two Megadeth albums in full: 1985’s Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good! and 1988’s So Far, So Good…So What! Joining the group will be another ex-Megadeth guitarist, Chris Poland.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 29. For more info, visit KingsofThrash.com.

Ellefson co-founded Megadeth with Dave Mustaine in 1983 and had been the group’s longest-tenured member until 2021 when a sexually explicit video of him leaked online, and he was let go from the band.

Megadeth, meanwhile, is set to release a new album called The Sick, the Dying…and the Dead! on September 2.
