Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin put their spin on The Knack for the latest installment in their The Hanukkah Sessions song.

Eschewing the group’s most popular song, the Foo Fighters frontman and the producer instead decided to cover a lesser-known Knack tune, “Frustrated.”

“Tonight we’re featuring 4 nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl…’My Shalom-a’ or something like that,” Grohl said. “We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the ‘old wave’ that came after Moses parted the Red Sea)…so we were psyched to get to cover one of our favorites…The Knack!”

For The Hanukkah Sessions, Grohl and Kurstin have been releasing a cover of a song by an Jewish artist for each of the holiday’s eight nights. Along with The Knack, the pair has also shared renditions of tracks by Beastie Boys, Drake, Mountain, Peaches, Bob Dylan and Elastica.

Thursday night marks the eighth and final night of Hanukkah. In addition to releasing one last cover, Grohl will be sitting in with Kurstin’s band The Bird and the Bee tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, airing at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
