On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at approximately 9:38 p.m., Arkansas State Police Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a rented black 2024 Chrysler Pacifica traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 at the 159-mile marker. During the stop, troopers searched the vehicle and discovered five large trash bags in the rear containing about 136 pounds of individually vacuum-sealed packages of illegal marijuana.
The driver, Hui Zhang, 34, from Flushing, NY, was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center. She faces charges of felony Possession with the Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of Property.
Zhang informed investigators that she was traveling from Oklahoma to South Carolina.
