With three homicides reported in Pine Bluff on Thursday, many questions are being asked about ways to deal with the problem.

Thursday night, former Pine Bluff Police Chief and current City Council member Ivan Whitfield told a reporter that other stakeholders need to be bought to the table and try to find a solution collectively.

Friday morning on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Whitfield explained what he meant.

Whitfield said he believes Police Chief Kelvin Sergeant and his staff have already worked out initiatives to focus on hot spots where police are called on a regular basis “and hopefully we will see results in the near future.”

With three school districts in Pine Bluff, Whitfield was asked if they should be looked at and said
