The Jefferson County coroner’s office on Saturday morning, August 14 confirmed another homicide that occurred in Dollarway.

The Detective Division of the Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of the homicide investigation. Shortly after 8:30am officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of North Pryce Street in reference to a dead body. Officers arrived and found the body of an adult male in the residence. The man was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Also located in the home was an injured adult female who was taken to the hospital. The names of both victims are being withheld at this time. Once more information is available it will be released.

This will is the 18th homicide in Pine Bluff for 2021, and the 3rd in Jefferson county in last 24 hours.
