Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman did not draw an opponent in the Republican primary and was asked about that when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday.

Like other members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Westerman must run for reelection every two years, meaning he not only has to spend a lot of time in Washington but also going around to the 33 counties that make up the congressional district.

He was asked if he would like to see longer terms and answered this way.

While Westerman appears on the Republican Party ballot as unopposed, U.S. Senator John Boozman does not and morning show host Greg Horne like Westerman, Boozman spends a lot of time in the state.

The Arkansas General Assembly recently redrew the boundaries for all four congressional districts and Westerman was asked how his had changed.
