Tuesday afternoon, Variety reported that Beyoncé was “in talks” to perform at the upcoming Academy Awards. Late Tuesday night, the Academy confirmed the rumors to be true.

The 28-time Grammy-winning singer will perform her Oscar-nominated, original song “Be Alive,” which is co-written by Roc Nation’s Dixson and featured in the Best Picture-nominated film, King Richard.

It’s still unknown, however, if Beyoncé will perform live at LA’s Dolby Theatre, where the awards will broadcast live. Variety said her camp “has been in deep talks with producers to mount a satellite performance of the song… and broadcast live from tennis courts in Compton, Calif,” — the same Compton courts where a young Venus and Serena Williams played and practiced with their father, who of course is the subject of King Richard.

This year will mark Beyoncé’s fourth Oscar performance; she’s previously graced the stage in 2005, 2007 and in 2009.

Other scheduled performers at the Oscars include Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, with “No Time to Die” from No Time to Die; Reba McEntire with “Somehow You Do,” from Four Good Days; and Sebastián Yatra with “Dos Oruguitas,” from Encanto.
