Jefferson County Detention Deputy Cody Hickman

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that Cody Hickman is the Detention Deputy of the Month for June 2020.

Deputy Hickman has exceeded the expectations of a detention deputy for the month of June.

Joining the Jefferson County force almost a year ago, Hickman expressed that he is beyond happy to be recognized as the June Detention Deputy of the Month.

“It feels good to receive this recognition,” said Hickman. “It makes me feel like I am doing a good job, so I will continue fulfilling my duties as a deputy.”

Hickman began his career with JCSO this year as a jailer at the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center. He previously worked as a Sergeant at the Arkansas Department of Corrections for 3 years.

Chief Jail Administrator Joseph Gorman expressed that although Hickman hasn’t been with JCSO very long, he has stepped in and showed that he has everyone’s back when needed. “Hickman did not miss any days of work, and he helped fill voids on other shifts. He always has a positive attitude and he is eager to get any tasks done.” he said.

The quality of dedication is very important for the agency’s long-term success. We look forward to Hickman’s ability to achieve the highest level of success, and being recognized as Detention Deputy of the Month is just the beginning. We value all our employees and are especially pleased to watch them meet the challenges presented and grow into greater individuals.

It is our sincere hope that you will join us in congratulating Cody Hickman on his accomplishment and in wishing him continued success at our agency.
