At its most recent meeting, the Cleveland County Quorum Court approved a 2025 budget that includes pay raises for County employees.
According to the Cleveland County Herald, the budget was set at $7.1 million, with employees receiving a 3-percent pay hike beginning Jan. 1.
Cleveland County Judge Jimmy Cummings attributed the pay increases to county departments who kept their budgets in check this year.
In addition to the salary increases, county employees will receive a one-time payment equal to 5-percent of their annual salary this year.
Regarding the 2025 budget, the largest expenditures are for the Road Department at $2.44 million, followed by County General at $2.35 million, followed by Solid Waste at $1.11 million.
