A Chris Cornell biopic called Black Days is apparently in the works.
According to the website for the film, the project is currently in production, and stars John Holiday as the late Soundgarden frontman. Holiday previously had a role in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line as rockabilly icon Carl Perkins.
A listing published to the casting website Backstage.com calls for several of other roles to be filled. According to the listing, shooting is scheduled to begin in September.
According to the Black Days Twitter account, the film will explore Cornell’s “final days.” It’s unclear if the production is authorized by the Cornell family or his band mates.
